Welcome to Mrs. Thornton Bracy's 4th Grade Class!

Welcome to Room 302! My name is Mrs. Thornton Bracy. I have been teaching for 23 years! This will be my 24th year in education. I have been at LDES for 5 years. I am a native of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area and have been in NC for about 8 years now. I am married and my husband is an assistant football coach and social studies teacher in Lexington, NC. We are the proud parents of 6 children and 1 granddaughter.  

This year in reading, we will be learning about animal adaptations, facts and opinions, interesting facts about states, and sports fiction.

 

In science, we will be learning about the phases of the moon, types of rocks and fossils, carnivores and herbivores, and how to eat healthy.

 

As we go through our social studies units, we will be learning about where North Carolina is located, how the weather and climate affects the people and animals here, as well as the role pirates played in NC history.
